Story Behind "The Lord Bless You"

The Lord Bless You is a song written both in response to watching God work in the lives of people and to God's leading my heart to bless His people. During the course of a weekend retreat, I watched God lead people to break away from the weight of the world that so often finds its way to our shoulders. As I sat in my room the final night of the retreat, thinking about how to go about our closing worship time, I felt there was no better way than to send them on their way with God's blessing.

Shon Stewart has an amazing story. He was born prematurely at 2 pounds 12 ounces with Cerebral Palsy. Despite his physical difficulties, he has grown into an accomplished musician who loves to lead people to Christ with his testimony.
